1. What is Twisteezwire?
Twisteezwire is colorful arts and craft wire that has household applications as well. It is soft and easy to bend by hand and can be cut easily with scissors or fingernail clippers. It is sold as an assortment of 13 vivid colors. It is not electrical wire.
2. What is it used for?
Twisteezwire is perfect for wire sculpture, mixed media art, jewelry making, basket weaving, dreamcatchers, polymer clay accents, costumes, decorations, ornaments, floral arrangements, and more. It can even be braided into hair for colorful, creative hairstyles.
It’s also handy for everyday tasks like tying plants to stakes, hanging artwork or tools, organizing cords, sealing bags, and making quick repairs around the house—such as fixing curtain hooks or toilet chains.
3. What is Twisteezwire made of?
24-gauge solid bare copper wire coated in PVC plastic.
4. What colors of wire are available?
Black, White, Violet, Blue, Green, Yellow, Yellow/Green, Bay Brown, Orange, Pink, Red, Beige, Turquoise.
5. Are the colors sold separately?
No, they come as an assortment. Each group of fifty wires has four of each color except Black and White. There are three Black and three White.
6. How is it packaged?
Twisteezwire is packed in 16” x 5” clear plastic zip bags. Some basic instructions are included. It is sold in different quantities or lengths of wire:
• TW-50 (with green paper instructions) has fifty 30” long assorted colored wires.
• TW-200 (with orange paper instructions) has two hundred 30” long assorted colored wires.
• TW-LONG (with yellow paper instructions) has fifty 60” long assorted colored wires.
7. Is it non-toxic?
The plastic coating used for Twisteezwire is non-toxic. It has been lab tested for CPSIA and ASTM compliance and passes for California Proposition 65. Phthalates are not used in its manufacture. It is lead and cadmium free.
8. Is it safe for children to use?
Yes. Twisteezwire is nontoxic soft wire. The ends of the wires are not sharp enough to scratch skin, but as with all other wire, should be handled carefully to avoid contact with eyes.
9. What ages are Twisteezwire recommended for?
It is recommended for people 8 years and older.
10. How does Twisteezwire hold up in hot and cold temperatures?
Twisteezwire can withstand temperatures up to 250 degrees Fahrenheit.
11. Do the Twisteezwire colors fade?
Twisteezwire maintains its vibrant colors in bright sunlight for years.
12. Can it be recycled?
It can be recycled with other metals, or it can be reused. Twisteezwire can be smoothed straight between uses and saved for other projects.
